Payment Card Industry (PCI) Compliance
RCS is prepared to handle secure payment transactions by adhering to strict security standards.
The Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) is a proprietary information security standard for organizations that handle cardholder information for the major debit, credit, prepaid, e-purse, ATM, and POS cards.
Defined by the Payment Card Industry Security Standards Council, the standard was created to increase controls around cardholder data to reduce credit card fraud via its exposure. Validation of compliance is done annually — by an external Qualified Security Assessor (QSA) that creates a Report on Compliance (ROC) for organizations handling large volumes of transactions, or by Self-Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ) for companies handling smaller volumes.

Chairman and CEO
After graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Physics Edgar spent six years working on the NASA Apollo program. With the successful landing of an American on the moon he left aerospace and founded a computer company to take what was learned from the space program and apply that knowledge to advance and improve selected commercial applications. One of those applications was registering attendees at Trade Shows and Conventions. The first show to use the new system was held in San Francisco in 1971. Ever since that first show Edgar and RCS have been committed to improving and advancing the state of the art in registration and lead retrieval for Events and Trade Shows while making customized personal service the number one priority.
Besides being a leader at RCS Edgar enjoys golf, camping and hiking with his family, and all things scientific.
Senior Vice President
Rick started out at RCS literally in the mail room and worked his way up to Vice President and General Operations Manager of the Ventura office. He values his ability as a team leader that can help others complete their assignments on time and in a professional way. It’s important to him that those that he works with are able to build a strong foundation of belief in their own abilities and are able to manage their own time effectively. He considers his “can do” personality one of his strong points.
Rick enjoys getting away from it all outdoors with his family and even though he may not always be happy with his game, does like to play golf now and then.
Vice President & General Manager of IRIS Registration
After three years of college specializing in business management, leadership, employee training and computer programming, Chris enlisted in the United States Airforce. He served in the USAF as NCO in charge of a support section of technicians. After the military, he worked in aerospace as a manager and it was there that he learned the intricacies of data base programing and management.
He joined RCS in 1994 as a data processing technician responsible for over 100 different registration databases. Chris was promoted several times and now lives in Toronto Canada as the General Manager of IRIS Registration, responsible for servicing and maintaining all aspects of event registration and office operations in Canada.
In his free time (which isn’t much) Chris likes fishing, spending time with his children and (sort of) playing the guitar.
Director, Marketing and Sales
Geoffrey graduated with a degree in Information Systems in 2003 and then spent the next 2 years in the Peace Corps in East Africa. He has worked as an IT Director for the University of Hawaii and has spent a number of years working directly in the IT industry. During his time in the Peace Corps he learned to evaluate the needs of others and implement strategic plans to aid self-reliance and motivate individualized projects. He has carried that process with him into the events and trade show industry.
Geoffrey also enjoys spending time outdoors with his family, grilling and cooking, hiking, swimming and reading.
