Types of Information Gathered
We do not collect any personal information about you unless you voluntarily provide it to us. There are two primary types of personal information provided to RCS by clients and customers of Registration Control Systems. The definitions and treatments of these types are as follows:
Financial Information - Payment information gathered during the registration and event build up process - including but not limited to, credit card numbers, financial institutions, and expiration dates - is considered Financial. This information is not distributed under any circumstance.
Professional Information - Data that customers provide to Registration Control Systems, and its clients, through various methods of communications with RCS is considered professional information that is stored and managed for the internal use of RCS and its clients. Professional data includes, but is not limited to, name, address, company name, company address, phone number, fax number, email address, as well as questions answered on survey, registration and service order forms.
Data captured during a customer's visit to an RCS website, as well as during a visit with another RCS client or customer, is also considered professional information and may also be stored for RCS or its clients internal use. Professional information may be, with the consent of RCS, shared with other organizations or RCS vendors and suppliers for the purpose of facilitating business relationships in our customer's best interests. These include but are not limited to show and event contractors and suppliers for, electrical, freight, booth set up, rental of show or event related equipment, etc. RCS does not sell your information to any third-party or share your information with other RCS clients or customers without your consent.
RCS may disclose your personal information, without notice, if required to do so by law or in the good faith belief that such action is necessary to: (a) conform to the edicts of the law or comply with legal process served on RCS or our sites; (b) protect and defend the rights or property of RCS; and/or (c) act under exigent circumstances to protect the personal safety of users of RCS, or the public.
Opt Out
Registration Control Systems will accept, acknowledge and maintain any customer's request to opt-out of either future communication from RCS or communication from a third party to whom RCS provided the customer's information.
Registration Control Systems will accept opt-out requests as follows:
By Sender: to RCS or through a third party
By Client: i.e. Trade Show, Conference or Event organizer: to RCS
By Method: by mail, phone, email (or all)
Security
The RCS sites utilize a secure server to protect your financial and professional information. Secure server software is used to encrypt the information sent between your internet browser and our internet sites. This ensures the security of your professional and financial transaction details when using our sites. We follow strict security procedures in the storage and disclosure of information you have given to us and may, on occasion, request proof of identity before we disclose any professional information to you.
Unfortunately, no data transmission over the Internet or any wireless network can be guaranteed to be 100% secure. As a result, while we strive to protect your personal information, you acknowledge that: (a) there are security and privacy limitations inherent to the Internet which are beyond our control; and (b) security, integrity, and privacy of any and all information and data exchanged between you and us through our sites cannot be guaranteed.
Cookies
Where a site is password protected it will use Cookies. Cookies are a simple text file. They are not executable programs, and consequently cookies cannot contain a virus, or any other application. Cookies are also very small, and you run no risk of filling your hard drive with too many cookies.
The RCS cookie that is placed on your computer as a result of an interaction with one of our sites contains only your unique reference number that is allocated by the communication process. This consists of a four-digit number. There is no information in the Cookie that can identify you. The Cookie is only valid when you access the relevant RCS site.
Automatically Collected Information
Information about your computer hardware and software may be automatically collected by RCS. This information can include: your IP address, browser type, domain names, access times and referring website addresses. This information is used for the operation of the service, to maintain quality of the service, and to provide general statistics regarding use of the RCS website.

Email Addresses
Our sites recognize the home servers of visitors, but not their email addresses. Individually identifiable email addresses are not captured or stored unless they are provided. Persons who communicate with RCS and supply us with an email address, may receive future communications by email or telephone. Persons who do not wish to receive email messages may contact RCS and ask to be removed; to do so, send an email to custserv@rcsreg.com and specify your name, company name and email address. As such, RCS supports the customer's right to "opt-out". Persons who request information from or about RCS, and who supply us with their name and address will be added to our database to receive the requested information.
Children Under Thirteen
RCS does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under the age of thirteen. If you are under the age of thirteen, you must ask your parent or guardian for permission to use our websites.

Our sites contain links to external sites. Registration Control Systems is not responsible for, and has no control over, the content of such sites. Information on our sites, or available via hypertext link from our sites, is made available without responsibility on the part of RCS.
Registration Control Systems disclaims all responsibility and liability (including negligence) in relation to information on or accessible from our sites.
Changes to this Policy
RCS reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you about significant changes in the way we treat personal information by sending a notice to the primary email address specified in your account, by placing a prominent notice on our sites, and/or by updating any privacy information on this page.
